George Natembeya learned hard-line tactics from John Michuki when he worked as his personal assistant for four years during his tenure in the Transport and internal security dockets.
He was taught to be firm, and always pursue the common good. To add on this, he learned never to pass the back and with these lessons, he has been able to accomplish so many assignments given to him by the government.
To start with, in 2003 while he was a District Officer in Mulot area of Narok County, he declared zero tolerance to female circumcision against a strong traditional belief of the residents and not a single case was reported during his tenure.
To add on this, he battled the hard headed Mungiki and and destroyed it in its bedrock of Muranga'a County when he was a District Commissioner in 2007.
While in Nairobi Kamukunji area, he dealt with Al shabaab eliminating threats caused by them in his first 100 days of his service. In Isiolo County as a County Commissioner, he successfully dealt with bandtry and community conflicts along the county's border with Meru.
Despite the political threats from politicians such as Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator Murkomen, he successfully managed to evict squatters from Mau forest, a water tower that served a great purpose to this republic. He believes in getting work done and political noise does not matter.
