
Fresh details have emerged about how lucrative the position of Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) is as the amount of money, which they are going to enjoy as perks in the next five years in the new administration of President William Ruto revealed.
According to a report by Sunday Nation Newspaper today, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) position is ranked below the cabinet secretary but above the Principal Secretary. Therefore President William Ruto allies who will be lucky to be appointed as CAS, will enjoy Sh2 billion perks in the next five years.
They will be taking home Sh17 million monthly salaries which will translate to more than Sh1 billion in the next five years, a one-off payment of Sh35 million mortgage, Sh10 million car grant which adds up to Sh990 million. The individual monthly salary for CAS will be Sh765,188 and apart from a Sh10 Million car grant they will also receive two high end vehicles, security detail, two secretaries, personal assistant and a driver.
