While addressing the media on Saturday, Wahome said that as members of Jubilee party, they were not consulted adding that they did not even have any meeting concerning the same.
""At no meeting have we been called and told about that position, I want to tell Jubilee supporters and Kenyans, those who elected His Excellency The President I Jubilee and under Jubilee party ticket, that the President was not talking on our behalf, I believe he was talking on his behalf," Said Wahome.
The legislator further stated that the President's move is an act of hypocrisy owing to the fact that he is the one who discouraged politicking adding that the President has actually taken them for granted.
" To us, those who believe in His Excellency the President, we think that he has taken us for a ride, and for us to listen to that kind of a statement at a time when the President has said that we should stop politicking," Wahome.
This comes only a day after Jubilee party's top officials including the party's secretary general Raphael Tuju, confirmed that there are discussions of having a coalition with ODM ahead of the 2022 general elections.
