Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga from Kenya Army has been appointed as the new aide de camp to the newly elected president William Ruto. Lengusuranga takes over from Brigadier Timothy Lekolool who was of the Kenya Navy department.Mr. Lekolool on the other hand has been deployed to the department of defence head quarters.
Today, fourth of October saw Lengusuranga accompany Ruto to Nyeri county where he is attending the funeral of deputy president Rigathi Gachagua's elder brother. Mr Fabian will be deputised by Lt. Colonel Damaris Agnetta who also comes from the Kenya army department. Agnetta succeeds Rachel Nduta Kamui who has now been promoted to be a full colonel in the defense headquarters. It should be noted that colonel Rachel Nduta was the first woman to be appointed as an aide de camp in Kenyan history during the second reign of the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Agnetta was commissioned in the year 2003 and has since served in the United Nations. Besides, she has also served as an artillery officer.
