The 2022 general elections is becoming uncertain as time goes by and there are rumors that the elections might not happen in the 2022 as it's required by the constitution.
The Building Bridges Initiative, BBI is even making it more complicated due to the fact that the referendum is expected to happen before the election and the cost associated with it. Politicial pundits have been saying that should the referendum happen as planned, the additional top seats will have to be contested in the next election and not the 2022 and that as a requirement by law, a referendum can not take place less than 12 months to the general election.
Today a Nairobi based politician Alinur Mohamed has dropped another bombshell casting doubt on the possibility of having an election in 2022. The aspiring politician through his Facebook account said that he has heard that there are plans to postpone the 2022 general election.
According to hon Alinur, this postponement is occasioned by the fact that Kenya is literally broke and can't be able the fund a referendum and a general election within a span of an year.
