David Murathe Responds to Claims he Was Involved in Kemsa Heist, Says This

Yesterday, Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe got himself into a big problem after it was found out he was involved in Kemsa heist. The reports claimed that Murathe was signatory to the firm implicated with over 7 billion Kenyan shillings Kemsa heist.

And now Murathe has responded to such claims. He has claimed that he was only a bank guarantor to the company that has been mentioned in the Kemsa heist where 7.8 billion Kenyan shillings were lost.

The statement submitted to Public Investment Committee, Murathe revealed he guaranteed Kilig company, which has been implicated in the heist although he had earlier on, denied being related to the firm.

David said that he stopped being among the signatories of Kilig Company last year August 2022, hence cutting off the relationship with the firm.

He added that no payment, deliveries or payment that made him to guarantee as the his commitment letter to Kilig was cancelled.

He added that Gachoka is his friend and that they have been doing business, not but Kemsa heist.
