Kandara member of Parliament Hon Alice Wahome has come out to claim what the so called deep state did to Kariri Njama making him defect United Democratic Alliance UDA to join the rulling Jubilee coalition.
Kariri Njama lost to UDA candidate John Njuguna Wanjiku in a hotly contested Kiambaa minipoll in what may haunt him forever for dumping UDA for Jubilee.
According to Wahome who is an ardent ally of deputy president Dr William Samoei Ruto, Kariri Njama was bought by the deep state after suspecting he was popular on the ground.
The veteran politician claimed the deep state further promised Njama to help him easily clinch the seat against his rivals. She indirectly pitied Njama for the loss reminding him to always remember the people on the ground were always the decision makers and not the deep state.
"Majority of the people who voted for Jubilee party did so out of love for the candidate - who was originally in UDA until he was bought and promised a walkover by the so called systems lakini wapi. The will of the people is stronger!" The lawmaker posted on her Facebook page.

With Kiambaa being president Uhuru Kenyatta's bedroom it was expected that the candidate of his choice would carry the day.
