"Mimi Ni Tegemeo La Kilifi" Jumwa Address Claims of Joining Azimio After Skipping Recent UDA Rallies

Malindi Member of parliament Aisha Jumwa has dismissed allegations that she is preparing to join Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja and ditch Deputy President William Ruto's UDA Party.

Speaking from her residence on Friday after missing out of ANC, UDA and Ford Kenya's joint rallies in Nakuru and Bungoma, Jumwa said that she is recuperating at home and will join the team after she recovers.

She added that the new coalition is the hope for Kenyans, and as among the founders of the UDA party, she will be in the hustler nation camp up to the elections.

"I have seen those rumors, and I want to tell Kilifi residents that I am a strong and straightforward leader. I cannot go back to where I came from. I am in UDA and because we have united to make Kenya better, we now have Kenya Kwanza. I have never had a thought of joining Azimio, for what? I am the hope for Kilifi residents," she said.

She called upon Kilifi electorates to avoid being mislead, adding that her gubernatorial race is still on course.

The vocal lawmaker believes that Ruto has higher chances of winning the presidency come August.
