JUST IN: DP Ruto Reaps Big After Popular Mount Kenya Politician Joins His Camp

Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru has finally joined DP William Ruto's 'Tanga Tanga' wing. Waiguru was one of the governors who vehemently opposed Ruto's wing but after seing the support the Deputy President has in the Mountain she has now decided to sing to his tune.

Politics is always a game of numbers and well calculated strategies. Politicians have been trying to move to parties they think will ensure they are popular in their different regions. Mount Kenya region for once are seen to be divided on who to support after a frosty relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto. The UhuRuto duo came into power and they both commanded a huge following from the people.

In 2018 March, President Uhuru Kenyatta shook hands with opposition chief Raila Odinga. This handshake led to the disintegration of Jubilee party into two factions; those supporting President Uhuru and others supporting Deputy President William Ruto. Jubilee supporters were not given a clear route to take and some of DP Ruto's allies went ahead and came up with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party and as of now the party has more than 100 members of parliament who are in support of it.

Waiguru's entry will now spice up things as she brings support from her region and others will now follow suit.
