Kenya is now remaining with less than 15 months for it to conduct a general election as per the current constitution which dictates that the country should do so after every Five years. It is during this general election where the country will get their new president to replace Uhuru Kenyatta.
Now, for three years now, there have been a stiff competition between the 2022 presidential Candidates over the control of Mount Kenya region. This is because this region has a huge number of votes neccesary for presidential win.
Now, today, the Mount Kenya Mps through the member of parliament for Mathira constituency hon Righati Gachagua has come out to clearly identify their favourite presidential candidate. As established by the people's daily through their Twitter page, Righati Gachagua said that they have resolved that William Ruto will be their presidential candidate next year.
Mr Righati defended his statement saying that William Ruto have some good things for them as mount Kenya region.“We have listened to the DP and what he has in store for us as a region and unanimously resolved that he will be our presidential candidate next year,” said Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua.
