As the road to 2022 general election continue to gain momentum different changes have been witnessed. Mt Kenya Presidential Candidate Jimmy Wanjigii has been told to forget Odm and look for another party if will vie. While speaking in an interview with K24 TV Dennis Anyoka alleged that "ODM party is Raila and Raila is ODM, so Wanjigi may have to look for another party if he wants to vie and not Odm"Jimmy Wanjigi declared that he will be in ballots comes 2022 with a bid to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta. Uhuru parted ways with his deputy William Ruto and has failed to back him and has promised to back NASA candidate. However the Principals have failed to unite and come up with a flag bearer.
On other hand Mt Kenya region has decided and they believe that they have to field a candidate in the upcoming general. One of them is Wanjigi who has close links with Odm and majority thought that he can be endorsed easily or be Raila's running mate. However this has been ruled out as Anyoka claims that no one will separate Raila Odinga and ODM ruling out any possibility of backing Wanjigi.
