The Azimio One Kenya Alliance is among the two top coalitions that seeks to take the leadership of the country on 9th August 2022, the alliance has parties like ODM, Jubilee, Wiper, KANU, DAP-K among several others with former prime minister Raila Odinga being the presidential flagbearer.
İn the Coast region sibling rivalry in the coalition is threatening the unity of the Azimio One Kenya alliance, a section of Kenya African National Union allies from the region have announced that they have withdrawn their support for the Orange Democratic Movement in the region because they are being sidelined by the regional leadership.
One of the leaders has singled out Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and Gideon Mung'aro who are the ODM gubernatorial candidates for Mombasa and Kilifi respectively for lacking interest to work with KANU, in Kilifi they have declared their support for Franco Esposito Kasoso, an independent candidate, as their preferred gubernatorial aspirant.
