President Uhuru Kenyatta has spent most of his hours today at the burial ceremony of the late member of parliament Francis Waititu who died after a long battle with cancer.

The president eulogized him as a great man and a good leader who served in the interest of the people to end the ceremony.

The presidential escort was headed to Nairobi but made a unscheduled stopover at Juja town, Kiambu county where his excellency addressed the crowd.

He spoke on how the late area mp had initiated several projects and promised to see through to their completion. He added that he will partner with area leaders to accomplish these and many more.
The president also touched on the Building Bridges Initiative citing that it will benefit the people of this area.

The stopover has however not gone unnoticed eliciting several reactions from social media users. Many have acknowledged the kindness of the president proving to be more involved and interactive with Kenyans more frequently.
