President Uhuru Kenyatta has on Wednesday, September 28, afternoon made some changes in the cabinet.
Statehouse Spokesperson Kanze Dena announced a cabinet reshuffle that takes effect immediately.
Through power vested to her by Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Kanze announced the reshuffling of 4 cabinet secretaries and 4 principal secretaries.
The following cabinet secretaries were reshuffled;
Ambassador Dr.Monica Juma who headed the Defence has been moved to the Ministry of Energy.
Hon. Charles Keter who headed the Ministry of Energy has been moved to the Ministry of Devolution.
Hon. Margaret Kobia takes over the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programmes.
Permanent Secretaries have also not been left out in the re-assignment as the following PS have been moved to other dockets;
Maj. Gen (Rtd) Gordon. O. Kihalangwa will be the permanent secretary, State Department for Energy while Dr. (eNG) Joseph. K. Njoroge takes the state department of Transport.
Mr. Solomon Kitungu will be the permanent secretary of the State Department FOR Public Works Whereas Mr.Nelson Marwa Sospeter will be PS to Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programmes.
