Being a Governor means you are the commander in your county and you are a president in your county. Governors earn more than senators and everyone can yearn to vie for the governor. The elections are near and some governors are coming to the end of their ten year term. Instead of quiting the political race others have decided to vie for the lower seat that's the Senatorial seat.
Kivutha Kibwana is a governor in makueni County and he is coming to the end of his term and it seems he is going to be for the Senatorial seat. Kivutha is going to vie as a senator in makueni County where he is going to face Maanzo who is also vying under Wiper.
Kivutha Kibwana has served as a Governor for 10 years and now he is ready to vie for the Senatorial seat. Here is what kivutha said about the senatorial seat.
“Ninajua kwamba katika kule kusaidia devolution hapa kwetu kwa iyo kazi ya oversight…ninaweza kusaidia katika Senate kwa kazi ya ugavana nikijua kazi ya gavana (I know that to help the devolution in our county in terms of oversight role…I will be useful in the Senate because I will be I already know how the governor works ),” Kibwana said.
