A former Standard Media employee is among Former President Uhuru's appointees affected by Ruto's purge. On Friday Tourism Cabinet Secretary Penina Malonza fired some of the Members of Tourism Board. The CS did not give the reason why they were fired. Some of the popular people affected is Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka's son Digital Strategist Pauline Njoroge and Ex_KTN news anchor Najma Ishmael. Najma Ishmael is a well news anchor and has been on the limelight for more that nine years. The Former Iqra FM presenter was appointed by Former Tourist Cabinet Secretary Majib Balala.

The journalist has lost her job a day after announcing her departure from the Standard Media Owned TV. The journalist announced on Thursday that she has left KTN. She did not reveal whether she will be joining another Media house or not.
