Senator Murkomen Condemns Arrest of Mary Mungai, Drags President Uhuru Into The Matter

"On or before June 30, 2015, in Nairobi County being a limited liability company registered as a taxpayer and its directors; knowingly and unlawfully omitted from the company's income tax returns Ksh.2,231,789,125 an amount which should have been included in the income tax returns submitted to the commissioner for the year of income 2014." Anti corruption court magistrate Felix Kombo read the charges of Mary Wambui Mungai and her daughter Purity Njoki, on the evasion of paying taxes.

Taking to his social media accounts, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Sudi Murkomen condemned the arrest of Mary Mungai who he called a good friend, and dragged President Uhuru Kenyatta into this scandal.

"It is a shame that the President is using our institutions including KRA to fight those who are not supporting his political project aka Azimio ya Utapeli. My friend Mary Mungai is a victim of political deceit&machinations.I am glad she is now free&we shall soon be vindicated." Senator Kipchumba Murkomen wrote.

However, this elicited several reactions from Kenyans who ganged up against Kipchumba Murkomen by telling him that Kenyans should pay taxes. Take a look:
