
A Nyamira court has granted orders for scrutiny and recount of votes of the County Governor's seat that were sought by a petitioner challenging the election of governor Amos Ayaribo.
A petitioner is challenging governor Amos Ayaribo's victory during the August 9 general elections. The petitioner told the court that Governor Amos Ayaribo's election was rig and that he wants the court to cancel his election.

High court judge Kimondo Kanyi ordered that scrutiny of forms 37B that were used to tally votes from polling stations at the Constituency level.

And the court further ordered that scrutiny of the polling stations should be done in six days. The Nyamira Gubernatorial election is one of the few Gubernatorial election that the losers of the election is challenging. Governor Amos Ayaribo will be hoping that the high court affirms his election and discharge all the petitions against his election.
It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the coming days if the high court will affirm his election or not.
