Presidential Candidate Who Could Win Race In Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga Busia If Election Were Today

Western region is not left behind when it comes to affecting the general election. The region has over two million voters who will be playing a big role in determining the fifth president of Kenya. Raila, Ruto, Waihiga and Wajackoya will be battling in the region to see that they get enough votes.

The region comprises of four counties; Bungoma, Kakamega, Busia and Vihiga. The latest poll by TIFA has has now revealed the leading presidential candidate in preference in these four counties forming the Western region. According to the poll, ODM leader Raila Odinga is the most preferred candidate in these counties with 48%.

William Ruto is comes second behind Odinga with 37% preference. Wajackoya has 3% while 7% remain undecided. For decades now, Western region has remained in the hands of Raila terming it as his stronghold. His lead in the region has been there and he expects to continues leading in these region ahead of election. Ruto is aiming to challenge Baba in the region but it seems the region still has Raila's influence.
