"Kimeumana" President Uhuru Kenyatta Dealt Huge Blow As His 23 Signed Laws Become Nullified

President Uhuru Kenyatta's appointment of Cabinet Secretaries (CS) and Chief Administrative Secretaries has been upheld by the Court of Appeal (CAS).

President Uhuru's decision to create the office of CAS, as well as his failure to subject CSs reappointed in 2017 to additional vetting and approval by Parliament, were both found illegal by a three-judge court on Saturday, July 24.

According to the People Daily news headlines, the crisis looms after 23 laws become null. This is due to the high court invalidating the laws the National Assembly passed without input from the senate but suspended the decision for talks that haven't taken place.

The president Uhuru Kenyatta's appointments have been dealt a blow especially when the high court nullifies his appointees. It began from the Building Bridges Initiative nullification where a five-judge panel termed BBI an unconstitutional, null and void. The president attacked the judiciary and the rest followed when the court nullified almost all of his laws and appointees
