Gachagua Reacts After 'Fringe Parties' in Kenya Kwanza Claimed That he is Trashing Them

Kenya Kwanza's Deputy President designate Rigathi Gachagua has finally reacted after it was reported that leaders allied to the ANC party, Ford Kenya and at least 14 other parties within the Kenyan Kwanza had threatened to ditch DP Ruto for Azimio One Kenya.

This emerged after two consecutive rallies where DP Ruto and his UDA allied leaders have been heard popularizing their candidates instead of generally focusing on Kenya Kwanza as a whole.

DP Ruto and his running mate Mathira Member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua are on the record asking Mt Kenya and Eldoret People in the Rift Valley region to vote for UDA candidates from the top position to the bottom, a move that has not overwhelmed the 16 affiliate parties inside the Kenya Kwanza.

And responding to the reports today morning, Rigathi Gachagua accused the fringe parties of joyriding on UDA party yet they have not been participating in influencing mobilising the attendance in rallies.

He said that if the fringe parties want to be taken serious, then they must also spend money in mobilising the attendance in the rallies.

"If these people in fringe parties want to be taken seriously, let them actively participate in mobilising attendance in rallies. Let them be seen spending money to grace our rallies. Let their followers ululate for them prominently in a manner that will force us to take them seriously," he said.SOURCE;https://nation.africa/kenya/news/politics/rigathi-gachagua-my-pick-as-running-mate-has-divided-mt-kenya-3825482
