Vocal Lawyer Danstan Omari has warned both the Azimo La Umoja One Kenya presidential nominee Raila Odinga, and his main competitor, Deputy President William Ruto, that they should not ignore Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's political muscle.
According to Omari, Kalonzo might the decider of the August presidential race, since he commands more than 2 million votes which will greatly have an influence on who wins the race.
On Monday, a section of allies from the Wiper party implored the Ukambani kingpin to return to the Azimio camp, despite the fact that he had re-launched his presidential bid to an extend of unveiling a running mate, Mr Andrew Sunkuli.
Omari who spoke with Look Up TV on Tuesday, argued that Kalonzo 'secret card' is that he might decide to go for the presidency despite calls from his allies, Ukambani professionals, the clergy from the Lower Eastern region and also leaders within the Azimio Camp, in bid to force a run off.
He notes that should Kalonzo force a run-off, he will be the 'most valued' politician since he will 'demand' anything from either Ruto and Raila, who have been considered the front runners, and it might even be the DP's position.
"Kalonzo might be out to cause a run off. His value after the August results are out, will be a million times more. The way people underrate him, and he creates a run-off, what would be his conditions, probably to be the deputy. Kalonzo has held Raila and Ruto close they cannot escape from him," said Omari.
However, speaking with NTV yesterday, Matungulu MP Stephen Mule noted that it is not Kalonzo's wish to make Kenyans have a re-run.
