The first speech that President Dr. William Ruto gave today was filled with optimism and a lot of promises about how to save this country from economic collapse and rising living costs.
In his explanation of his government's plan to improve Kenya's food security, President Ruto said that the government will engage in multiple interactions to address this issue.
Photo courtesy of the President The President stated that the only long-term solution to ending hunger was to end the drought by reducing the price of food and ensuring that abundant water is available for food cultivation.

"In the long run, we plan to collaborate with the private sector to build 100 dams across the country for irrigation purposes so that to improve food security," Ruto also stated.
