"Nataka Mrudishe Mkono" Raila Odinga Now Tells Nyeri Residents, Urges Them to Join Azimio

Former prime minister Raila Odinga and his running mate Hon Martha Karua were today popularizing their political ambitions in Nyeri, a county believed to be a strong hold of deputy president William Ruto.

While addressing the crowd, Raila Odinga narrated how he stood with former president Mwai Kibaki in 2002 and made him a third president of the country. He revealed that it was not an easy journey as Kibaki had been involved in an accident that time.

Mwai Kibaki was a resident of Nyeri Town and Raila Odinga wants the residents from this county to pay back by supporting him in the coming general election.

"The first time we came here with Hon Mwai Kibaki as the president, we went to Othaya, Chania up to Nyeri, and you called me Raila the brave leader. I am the one who brought the flag to this county because Mzee Kibaki got hurt during the campaign trail,” Said Hon Raila Odinga. “I am the one who campaigned in all parts of the country for him when he was down until we won the elections. Pia mimi nataka mrudishe mkono kwa niaba ya hayati mzee Kibaki" he added.
