State House has also released a statement on their social media platforms confirming that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be addressing the country. They have also indicated that the joint sitting of Parliament will kick off at exactly 2pm in the afternoon.

This will be probably be the last time president Uhuru Kenyatta will be addressing Kenyans from the Parliament sitting. The constitution of Kenya highlights that the president has to address the citizens from the Parliament atleast every year during the time he is in office. Therefore, this will mark the eighth time that he is addressing Kenyans.

Kenyans have set their hopes high expecting the president to speak on some specific things like the next step on the new variant of COVID-19 that has affected some parts of the world and also the relationship between Kenya and other countries.

Recently, we have experienced some problems where Kenya and Somalia were having an argument about the maritime boarder. Therefore, Kenyans have alot of expectations from the president and tomorrow is the day that they will know what is in store for them.
