Land cabinet secretary in President William Ruto's government has caused laughter in Nyandarua County after he has narrated what his ex-girlfriend did to him after he got appointed a few months ago.
While addressing residents during a thanksgiving ceremony at the home of East African Community cabinet secretary Rebecca Miano, Zacharia Njeru had nothing to hide as he opened up on what he went through in his love life.
Njeru has described how a lady he was interested in marrying literally rejected his proposal simply because he was not at her living standards in life.
According to Njeru, the ex-girlfriend recently called him on phone to congratulate him after Ruto appointed him. He further narrated that she didn't wait for her any longer after the rejection.
"We all know that this is a bottom up government. Your Excellency I studied at a schoold named Nyandarua High School and after form six I had a lady I wanted to marry. Thereafter she broke up with me since I was at the bottom of life while she was at the top. After I was appointed a cabinet secretary, she called me the following morning but I told her that I didn't wait for her after what she did," said CS Zacharia Njeru.
