BBI: Worrying News Reported in Mt Kenya as MPs Snub Collection of Signatures Launch

Since the launch of Collection of Signatures by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Odinga at KICC,the process has made tremendous move. The secretariat has already revealed that they have collected a good number of signatures and they are confident that they will reach four Million signatures by the end of the exercise.

Unfortunately, worrying news have been reported in Mt Kenya where we expected the exercise to go on well since it is a stronghold of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the Star, only the Imenti North Member of parliament Rahim Dawood and his Igembe North counterpart Maoko Maore attended the launch of Collection of signatures.

Reports have shown that the 16 legislators allied to the second in command boycotted the signature Collection drive in Chuka town.

This is a major blow to the Building Bridges Initiative as president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga expected to collect many signatures at this region.
