Deputy President Dr. William Samoei Ruto has slammed Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga for dwelling in history rather than telling Kenyans what he will do for them should he win the upcoming August general elections.
While addressing aspirants and other grassroots leaders from Kiambu county at his Karen residence, DP Ruto urged Kenyans to rally behind his presidential bid because the Kenya Kwanza coalition has a vision compared to his competitors.
"The contest in our country is clearly defined, on the other side we have people who are telling us about the past, yesterday, and the past, in UDA and Kenya Kwanza we are planning the present and future," Ruto said.
He also slammed the former Prime Minister saying that he has assigned his running mate Hon Martha Karua responsibilities of changing the constitution so that leaders can get power instead of focusing on issues affecting Kenyans.
Furthermore, he slammed Raila for shortchanging Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula. He claimed that the opposition leader ruined NASA, the Jubilee government and now he is misleading Azimio la Umoja coalition making other leaders such as Kalonzo quit the coalition.
