Mwangi Kiunjuri has sent a warning shots to the deputy president William Ruto. Kiunjuri who is a former minister for Agriculture has said that Mt Kenya region is currently suffering because of little resources they are receiving despite the high number of population and votes they are contribiting. Kiunjuri who was previously not supporting BBI is now calling for a referendum to be held withing 100 days after 2022 elections.
On what seemed as a direct attack to the deputy president, Mwangi Kiunjuri said that they will only support anybody who will promise them a referendum so that more reources can be added into the region. As we head to 2022, we will see more defections from one camp to the other.
