President Uhuru kenyatta has today arrived in sagana state lodge in Readiness for this year's mashujaa day celebrations.
The head of state and government was received by kirinyaga governor Ann waiguru and other local leaders the moment he disembarked from a military chopper.
Uhuru will be holding meetings with kirinyaga leadership over the preparation for the national holiday which will be held on Wednesday.
Ann waiguru has been complaining that she has been kept in the dark as far as Preparations for the event are concerned.
Celebrations committee chairman who is also the interior principal secretary Dr Karanja Kibicho has been on the frontline ensuring that the event Succeeds.
According to Kibicho, ministry of health's Covid-19 protocols will be followed strictly to curb the spread.
This year's event will be graced by Malawi president Lazarus Chagwera who is expected to jet in tomorrow together with the first Lady.
This is the first time waiguru is meeting with the president after indicating that she may ditch jubilee in favour of William Ruto's United democratic Alliance (UDA).
Waiguru is on record saying that in Kirinyaga and central, the most popular party right now is UDA.
This are seen as clearest indications that the president's party is dying a slow and painful death in central.
