2022 politics has gathered momentum across the country. It is less than a year before the general elections but aspirants and political leaders have begun early campaigns to popularize themselves with the Kenyan voters. The majority of them have begun transversing different parts of the country in search of votes.
The deputy president Dr. William Samoei Ruto is one of the leaders who is transversing different parts of the country. The second in command is on the race to succeed his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta and has been hosting different leaders at his Karen residents as well as moving in different parts of the country to hunt for votes.
On Friday, DP Ruto is expected in the coastal region where he will be hosted by Mswambweni member of Parliament Hon Feisal Bader. The Deputy President is expected to attend a series of events including uplifting the Boda Boda operators as well as grocery vendors in the Msambweni region.
The event will take place on Friday, October 15th. The Deputy President will then hold a series of rallies in the coastal areas for the rest of the weekend to popularize his UDA party and his bottom-up economic model.
DP Ruto and his close allies campaigned for Feisal Bader when he was vying as an independent candidate. He decamped from the ODM party after losing the ODM ticket.
Other allies who are expected to accompany the deputy President this weekend include Nyali Member of Parliament Hon Mohammed Ali and vocal legislator Aisha Jumwa.
