An alleged attack took place in Nairobi south b in which a UDA aspirant named Waithera Chege was attacked in broad daylight by unknown asailants. It is said that they were three boda boda operators who were paid by a member of parliament to commit such offence.
Waithera Chege Member Of County Assembly of Nairobi south said that she had previously received threats after the nominations by her competitors.
She said that, "I have been living in fear since mid April after the UDA nominations. Three boda boda riders tracked me to my South B office. They even entered my office by force and tried to attack me in broad daylight,"
According to sources it is said that two boda boda riders were arrested but later released under unclear circumstances.
She has therefore asked the Kenya police service to provide her with security since her life is in danger.
Police are still pursuing the investigations.
