Member of Parliament honorable Peter George Kaluma has emerged with a piece of worrying news concerning Chief Justice Martha Koome's camp. The lawmaker has expressed his concern about the Judiciary Service Commission.
The Judiciary is among the arm of government which is supposed to be independent. The JSC has been getting resistance from other arms of government especially from the executive. Deploying more judges in the service has been a nightmare for quite some time. Recently, President Uhuru left out six justices that were recommended by the JSC.
The legislator has alleged that our Judiciary is uncoordinated, unpredictable, academic, and at times political in our "certain constitutional situation" anchored on a written Constitution.
Kaluma has wished to go back to the era of Judges such as Ibrahim, Warsame, Lenaola, Ringera, Nyamu, and Emukule!.
This is a big blow to Chief Justice Martha Koome's camp. The CJ has been putting up more strategies for her camp so that to deliver on time.
