The aftermath of the BBI fall is felt to date. Since The NASA coalition disintegrated because BBI was stopped by the courts. Ever since the fall of the BBI process, there has never been peace at the hitherto opposition wing. The ODM party is revamping its house. The Jubilee party is at crossroads. It is the party running the government while also smarting from the failed BBI process. It is also traversing turmoil caused by the break-away UDA party. The UDA party is swiping the Central Kenya region like a wildfire.
Kirinyaga Governor Hon. Ann Waiguru said “Looking at the reactions, and the polls done nationally, we seem to have left the people behind in the quest to pass BBI…I would be dishonest to say that the people of Mt Kenya were behind BBI. They were not…”
Hon. Waiguru has been accompanying Hon. Raila in BBI popularization campaigns in the Mountain Region. This has led to terming her sentiments as drifting away from the Jubilee party towards the UDA party. Hon. Musalia, Hon. Kalonzo, Hon. Wetangula and Hon. Gideon Moi seems to be holding on to OKA. Though no major announcement from them in recent weeks.
The BBI nonetheless has shaped the politics of Kenya
