Honourable Raila Odinga Pitches Camp In Garissa As Ruto Concludes His Tour Of Kisii, Curfew Extended

For a second consecutive day, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, pitched camp in Garissa County as he tries to seek support from the Pastoralists Community of North Eastern.

The former Premier, spoke at length about the systemic marginalisation of the region, a situation he promised to change once he ascends to power. He further stated that he will initiate dam projects to enable irrigation of the Asal region. He rallied the locals to join him in his aspiration for unity initiative. The local leaders present endorsed him for the Presidency.

Elsewhere DP Ruto advanced his hustler narrative in Kisii for the third day in a row. He continued his opposition for constitutional change, and insisted that the government should prioritise economic reforms instead.

Meanwhile, health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, announced the extension of Covid-19 containment measures for a further 30 days. This includes the 10pm to 4am curfew. This move appears to have irritated Kenyans who took to Twitter to protest the extension.
