As the 2022 general elections come to a near, the election commission is making early preparations to ensure all things are set on good time. A new announcement was made by the CEO Mr Hussein Marja. He revealed the two necessary requirements voters would have to produce in polling stations before voting.
He noted you would either be required to have national identity card or a passport which was used during the registration process. They will then match the details with their register before allowing you to vote. Earlier on the chairman Wafula Chebukati had received the first batch of the election materials.
He also noted that a second one was being awaited for sooner. This comes at a time where Politicians have raises concerns to ban the commission from using the digital register and asked for the manual one for credibility.
