Elders drwan from Kiambu county under the umbrella of Kiama Ki ama, have distanced themselves from a group of Elders led by President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Kungu Muigai who held a meeting with deputy president William Ruto yesterday at his Karen residence.
The elders have come our to accuse their colleagues of promoting their self interests and have clarified that they were not party to the things discussed in the meeting.
The elders declared that they are fully behind Kiambu Governor James Nyoro who is seeking to defend his seat on the ruling Jubilee party ticket.
They also reaffirm their support for Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga and have vowed to rally behind him together with their families and clans.
The elders maintained that their main aim is to ensure Raila wins the elections in the first round.
