Kenyans are left with 34 days to the next general elections scheduled to take place on the 9th day of August 2022. Independent Electoral and boundaries Commission has made a declaration of Presidential candidates who will be on the ballot on the 9th polls.
Candidates cleared by IEBC Chairman Mr. Chebukati Wafula include Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance, Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto of United Democratic Alliance party, George Wajackoyah of Roots party, and David Mwaure of Agano party.
However, the court on Tuesday evening made a ruling that nullified the law that IEBC used in blocking the candidature of Mwangi Wa Iria among other presidential candidates. This ruling comes at the time when IEBC is finishing up with the preparations to ensure that they are in a position to deliver credible elections.
Mr. Chebukati Wafula who serves in the capacity of the Chairman of the Commission has assured Kenyans of free and fair elections.
The likely candidates for Presidency seeking to succeed HE the 4th President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 9th polls might rise from the previous 4.
