One of the duties of the president in the republic of Kenya is the appointment of numerous government officials, including cabinet secretaries, senior secretaries, and even the Chief Executive Officers of various government offices.
According to Tv 47 Kenya, the president of the country has proposed Mr. John Tonui as the new postmaster general of the Kenyan Postal Corporation. Mr. Tonui, who was appointed in an acting capacity, will succeed Dan Kagwe, whose term would expire in March of the next year. Dr. Mutahi Kagwe, a former cabinet secretary for health, has a brother named Dan.
The Postal Corporation of Kenya has appointed John Tonui as its interim postmaster general. The previous postmaster general, Dan Kagwe, is succeeded by Mr. Tonui because his term ends on March 9th, 2023, according to the reports.
