William Samoe Ruto is one of the politicians in the country who have expressed their interest in running for the country's presidential seat. Ruto is seeking to succeed his boss, hon Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta having deputized him for around 9 years. Ruto is expected to face other prominent leaders on this race including Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga and Jimmy Wanjigi.
Now, as a presidential candidate, the law dictates that he/she must have a running mate who will deputize him incase he wins the election. This means that DP Ruto will have to choose his running mate either from his party or another party. Now, let's look at this Opinion on DP Ruto's possible running mate come 2022.
According to many people, the former cabinet secretary for Agriculture, hon Mwangi Kiunjuri will be the best person to deputize DP Ruto. Kiunjuri have been hitting the headlines with many claiming that DP Ruto is preparing him politically before picking him as his deputy. That is why I opin that Kiunjuri will be the best person to deputize DP Ruto come 2022.
Kiunjuri is known to be a politician with a huge support from his Mount Kenya region which is known to be a vote-rich region. If Ruto will pick him as his running mate, then he might give him a huge win over Raila Odinga who is said to be his main opponent.
