The ruling Jubilee Party has fallen from grace to grass in a very short time ever since the fallout between party leader president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy party leader William Ruto came to the fore. What used to be a giant national party seems to have been reduced to ashes.
Yesterday, there were several By-elections in various parts of the country where Jubilee Party fielded candidates in each and every area. However, the Party ended up performing dismally in those By-elections as UDA party associated with deputy president William Ruto and ODM Party flourished.
And now, using symbolism, top city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has come out to say that the ruling Jubilee Party is officially dead. In a message on social media, Ahmednasir opines that there are two people who have contributed to the death of the party.
According to him, Jubilee Party secretary general Raphael Tuju and the party vice chairperson David Murathe are the people to blame. He seems to suggest that the party's performance in Juja constituency By-election was so dismal, dismal that he says it should be written off as a dead party.
"THANKS to Vice Chairman David Murathe and Secretary General Tuju, my BELOVED JUBILEE....is officially dead. The cremation of the body is at JUJA and thereafter the ashes will be thrown into the Chania River," he wrote.
