Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has said that 'wrong timing' is the main reason why he opposed alleged report by the One Kenya Alliance technical Committee to have the Amani National Congress deputize Wiper's leader Kalonzo Musyoka in the coming August polls.
In an interview with NTV, Malala said that the committee should have waited after the ANC conducts its National Delegates Congress on Sunday, before the report is given to the principals for deliberations.
"We know there are people who want to divide OKA for their own benefit. We will not agree to our fallout from outsiders. During the Naivasha meeting, as a member of the technical committee I was not there, same to Mudavadi, this is because the meeting was ill-timed as all the other parties had conducted their NDC meeting apart from ANC, it was therefore better for the other principals to wait until we endorse our candiadte in ANC," said Malala
He added that if any other leader apart from Mudavadi is chosen as OKA's flag bearer in an open, free and transparent manner where every party is democratically involved, he will accept.
