Kindiki states that Raila gave him the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science & Technology Council, and his position has enabled him to be appointed as KCA university Vice Chancellor.
Speaking in Chuka on Tuesday when Raila had met the leaders from Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi, Kindiki stated that Raila had proved beyond reasonable doubts that he is a leader and has the interests of the residents at heart.
He however called upon the ODM leader to ensure that once he wins the presidency, he sets up a Youth Ministry to take care of the needs of the youth.
Kindiki went on to state that Tharaka Nithi county should be included in all aspects, arguing that once pastoralists are mentioned, the county is left out on claims it is in Mount Kenya Region, despite almost half of it being inhabited by residents who keep livestock.
He further urged Raila to ensure he has a number of leaders in different positions from across the Mt Kenya East when he forms the next administration.
Jubilee's Senator Kithure Kindiki is a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto.
