Dramatic Scenes in Parliament as John Njuguna Wanjiku Sworn in [Video]

Deputy President William Ruto's allies in Parliament broke into dances and songs praising UDA Party for winning Kiambaa Constituency by-elections after John Njuguna Wanjiku Sworn in.The lawmakers had dressed in yellow representing the UDA party colours.Men were in yellow ties while women in yellow dresses.

"I took the oath of office today at the parliament buildings flanked by Hon Ndindi Nyoro(MP Kiharu) and Hon Kimani Ichung'wah (MP Kikuyu).lam grateful to God and to the people of Kiambaa for this opportunity.

This comes amid reports Jubilee Party were headed to court to challenge Wanjiku's victory over claims of vote rigging.

Njuguna won against his closest rival Kariri Njama of Jubilee by garnering 21,773 votes against 21,263.

“We are not satisfied with IEBC’s results; we have concrete evidence to show that manipulation was done by certain individuals. The numbers that came out of the polling centres were not the same as those transmitted to the tallying centres. It is not yet over,” said Murathe

On Tuesday 3rd,a Nakuru voter filed a petition in Kiambu high Court challenging Kiambaa Constituency By-elections outcome.
