The former ODM party leader aide announcement comes months after Mike Sonko was ousted from the Nairobi governor position. Sonko was ejected from office following a very public tussle with the Kenyan head of state President Uhuru Kenyatta and the head of the Nairobi Metropolitan Service boss General Mohamed Badi. His spirited efforts to save himself from impeachment came up short as the majority of senators voted to impeach him.
