Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo stole the show in Kasarani during Wiper party's National Delegates Congress (NDC) on Thursday after showering the party leader Kalonzo Musyoka with praises and reasons why he is the best person to lead the country in 2022.
Jirongo who joined the One Kenya Allaince (OKA) few weeks ago stated that the former vice president has enough experience in leadership that places him top among his competitors.
"Kalonzo is a trustworthy leader, and our country needs a leader who can protect Kenyans investments and investors. If OKA supports Kalonzo, we are sure he will keep his promises on the agreement of sharing power."
"He is a humble leader who listens to people and if we choose him we are confident that as a lawyer he will obey the rule of the law," posed Jirongo.
He went on to add that Kalonzo is a leader who Kenyans can entrust to fight corruption and revive the economy once elected as the head of state next year.
Jirongo said all these in the presence of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who is reported to be eyeing a re-union with Kalonzo before 2022.
The other OKA leaders Gideon Moi, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula were present alongside Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and Jubilee's SG Raphael Tuju.
