Former Nairobi Governor Mike mbuvi Sonko has alleged that his immediate successor Ann Kananu saved him from an assassination that was planned on him while working at the Wilson Airport.
Sonko, speaking at an initiation ceremony in Ann kananu's home in Meru has revealed several details concerning the alleged incident
According to mike Sonko,Governor Ann Kananu who by then worked at the Wilson Airport saved sonko during a time when his political fame was on top gears.

Sonko revealed that after he got the information relating to the well-orchestrated assassination plot, he halted on booking choppers on his name He further added that Ms Kananu could usually help him hire a chopper so as to manoeuvre secretly
According to mike Sonko, the plot by Former president H.E Uhuru kenyatta to ouster him as the Nairobi County governor opened doors for one of his close allies to clinch the top city job of the Nairobi county governor
He laughed at it saying that the president did not have any idea that Ann Kanunu held a special place in Sonko's heart and that she was a really close friend that is why he had chosen her to deputize him
