Kisii governor Hon. James Ongwae has come out clearly on whether he will vie any seat after his term expiry in August this year after the swearing of the newly elected new leaders.
The rumours has been there the governor James Ongwae will be vying for the Kisii county seat. Just like other governors whose terms in the office have expired are seeking other elective seats such as member of parliament, senate just to keep their political stars shining.

Addressing the rumours governor James Ongwae has termed the rumours as baseless and laughable. According the governor Ongwae he is committed in campaigning for the ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Further the governor clarified that as his term expires he will be ready to let others lead as he will head to rest after his service to the Kisii county.
This now brings hope to those who were eying to vie for the senate seat since campaigning against someone who has resources becomes hard for the newly eying leaders.
