The story of the youth can only be told by the young people. We are happy that Rt. Hon Raila Odinga agreed to meet the youth to listen to their issues.
The youth from Gilgil and Naivasha sub-counties presented a memorandum containing the issues they want addressed.
This is the way to go, to allow the youth to present their issues and not assume solutions to their problems.
We will have a constructive engagement with the youth and encourage them to put their issues in writing for action but not roadside declarations.
We are glad that Hon Odinga read the memorandum and addressed issue of appointments of youth as CS, PS, and other leadership positions by promising to form an all inclusive government.
He also addressed restoration of Lake Naivasha, promotion of the blue economy and create an environment for investment including tourism .
Other issues included opportunities for the youth in flower farms, promoting youth in digital sector, promoting industries such as Keroche Breweries.
He also discussed the issue of the youth getting opportunities in the upcoming industrial park and take advantage of the SGR in Maai Mahiu.
