Kimwarer and Arror corruption case against Rotich to be transferred to another magistrate.

The graft case against the former Finance cabinet secretary Henry Rotich will be heard by another magistrate.

This is after Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi was last week promoted to a judge.

Speaking about the case, Mr. Mugambi had the following to say.;

“Considering it’s a fairly new hearing I think it will be prudent to take it to another magistrate."

Mr.Mugambi also noted that he would have concluded the case and written the judgement if it was the last witness.

“The trial court has been elevated considering two witnesses have testified it’s not convenient for the court to hear the case as there are many other witnesses who are yet to testify,” Mugambi noted.

Further directions concerning the hearing of the case will be given on 16 December, this year. The case will be mentioned on this date.

Two witnesses only have so far testified in the case. The second witness is yet to be cross examined.
